On December 9, rock legends The Used announced their massive 25th Anniversary Tour, moving across the nation and playing 3 nights in a row in each city. Playing a different one each night, the band will perform their 3 most influential albums in full: “The Used”, “In Love and Death”, and “Lies for the Liars”.
As The Used celebrates 25 years as a band, these albums are widely regarded as highly influential on early 2000s rock and its impact continues even today. With no surprise, each of them have been certified either platinum or gold by the RIAA and sold over 10 million albums combined worldwide.
The tour will kick off on April 3 in Detroit, MI, and will travel across the United States making stops in cities such as Boston, New York, and Chicago, before its conclusion in San Diego on May 17. Tickets go on sale on December 13 at 10am local time.
The Used is also offering VIP packages for the tour. They include one general admission ticket, a meet and greet and photo op with The Used, a signed 12” Record Flat of “Album of the Night”, an exclusive “Album of the Night” enamel pin, a limited edition disposable camera, tote bag, and metal laminate with lanyard along with early entry to the venue and access to merch.
Lead singer Bert McCracken aka robbietheused stated that he is “Overwhelmed! These first three records are what put The Used on the map. I can’t wait to experience the joy in playing all three records from front to back. I know it will be an amazing time. I wouldn’t miss it for the world. The tour will be a celebration of The Used’s influence on rock and their appreciation for their fans who have shown their undying support throughout these 25 years. Bassist Jepha mentions, “We feel extremely lucky and humbled to have been a part of something way bigger than ourselves for the past 25 years. To everyone that has been there from the beginning or is just starting out your adventure with us thank you. Here’s to the next 25!”
Drummer Dan Whiteside added “We can’t wait to play all of these songs from the first three albums, they mean so much to us as we know they do to so many people.”
