The Revivalists released the title track of their upcoming new album, “Get It Honest”. The new single is frontman David Shaw’s personal reflection on his journey since getting sober nearly twenty years ago, sparked by an unexpected moment of inspiration during the night that led him to quickly capture a few raw lyrical ideas about feeling restless and conflicted.

Songs can come in all sorts of ways and carry various messages, too, but the most important takeaway from this for me is that they always find a way to hit you right when you need them the most or maybe when you can actually ‘hear’ them.”

-David Shawb

The new album comes out on July 24 via Concord Records. Get It Honest includes previously released singles, “Razorblades and Runaways” and “Heart Stop” and is available for pre-saves and vinyl pre-orders. The record was produced in collaboration with GRAMMY winner Rich Costey and recorded at Guildford Sound in Vermont.

Get It Honest carries a more grounded, reflective tone focusing on themes like letting go of what weighs you down and appreciating the stability found in love, meaning and personal growth. It feels like a reminder to look ahead, to keep going and never let the past define one’s destiny.

To celebrate the release of the new album, The Revivalists are going on a US headline tour joined by a lineup of support acts on select dates, including Robert Randolph, Ax and The Hatchetmen, Paul McDonald, Wells Ferrari, True Loves, Rustic Overtones and Olivia Barnes
