The Nocturnal Affair Release New EP, Glass Ego
Dark rockers, The Nocturnal Affair have released their latest EP Glass Ego. The six track release features a mix of the band’s newer material and a longtime fan favorite, Backbiter, which is now available on streaming platforms for the first time.
“Glass Ego is an organized collection of caricatured insecurities I battled and conquered while writing the songs the EP encompasses. A bit of my older sound mixed with the risks I took to come into my own unapologetic way of writing. To visit a place inside me where I became comfortable with making The Nocturnal Affair sound like however I want. (With our cover of What is Love, of course). Included is a song new to streaming platforms but a live fan favorite for years now, “Backbiter”.
A of couple tracks that stood out to me are Deep and Benefit Of Doubt. Deep has a raw, emotional feel that immediately draws you in, while Benefit Of Doubt starts with loud, heavy drums and carries that energy throughout the song. The two tracks showcase different sides of the EP while still fitting in naturally with the band’s overall sound. You can listen to these two tracks, as well as the entire EP here.

The release comes just in time for their holiday show on December 12, at the Fremont Country Club in Las Vegas, Nevada. Catch The Nocturnal Affair alongside Hikkari, Newslang and Pool Party at Xmas in the Dark 2. Austin Carlile will also be there, taking over the Backstage Bar with Alura, Thuggernaut, and Silent Throne.
Tickets for the show are $15 plus fees in advance, and $20 plus fees at the door. There are also limited tables for 2 available for $99 plus fees. Tickets can be purchased here.
