Mongolian Hunnu rock trailblazers The Hu are back with not just one, but two brand-new songs. The globally recognized band has dropped “The Men,” complete with an official music video, along with “Warrior Chant,” both released through Better Noise Music.
“The Men” opens with traditional Mongolian string instruments before shifting into a heavy, groove-driven riff layered with hypnotic vocals. It blends the band’s signature mix of native instrumentation, crushing guitars, and tribal-style chanting into a powerful, cinematic track perfect for anything from intense workouts to epic movie or game moments. At its core, the song reflects the band’s deep connection to their cultural roots.
Frontman Galaa explained that the song is inspired by the Mongolian concept of inner spirit, or “Хийморь,” focusing on the importance of strength, positivity, and generosity. The lyrics aim to encourage listeners to reflect on who they are and strive to cultivate a strong, positive mindset.
The second track, “Warrior Chant,” lives up to its name with a driving, high-energy sound and a tight, heavy rhythm. Featuring the band’s signature use of the horsehead fiddle and their unmistakable vocal style, it highlights everything fans have come to love about The Hu. Galaa noted that the song represents their evolving sound, with a strong focus on rhythm and instrumentation inspired by the movement of a horse.

On the road, the band will team up with cello-metal group Apocalyptica for a U.S. tour this May and June, with support from The Rasmus. The run begins May 12 and wraps up June 7 in Anaheim, California.
They’ll also hit the stage later in the year alongside Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, and Orgy for another major tour.
In addition, The Hu recently released “The Real You,” a track that showcases a more noticeable blend of Western musical elements and offers a preview of their upcoming album. They’ve also continued branching into other media, appearing on “Pray to the Sun” with Declan de Barra for the Netflix series One Piece, and previously contributing music to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
Fans can expect plenty more from The Hu as they continue building momentum with new music and global touring.
