The 2025 Grammy Nominees

The grammys are always an exciting time for music lovers. With so much talent in the running, ever nominee has given us something to look forward to. Each category is packed with incredible skill, making it tough to root for just one person. Lets dive into the main categories and look at all the amazing musicians up for the 2025 awards.

Record of the Year.

  • Now and Then by The Beatles

  • Texas Hold Em by Beyoncé

  • Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter

  • 360 by Charlie XCX

  • Birds of a Father by Billie Eilish

  • Not Like Us by Kendrick Lamar

  • Good Luck, Babe by Chappell Roan

  • Fortnight by Taylor Swift featuring Post Malone

Every track here is a masterpiece, but my prediction for the winner of this category is “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter. This song is very well done. Sabrina’s vocals are smooth, like the coffee her title references. Its fresh, and contemporary. The song is upbeat, energetic, and is the perfect blend of catchy pop with heartfelt lyrics. While classics like “Now and Then” by the Beatles hold sentimental value, “Espresso” feels like the pulse of 2025. Sabrina’s growth as an artist shines through as well, making this track absolutely perfect.

Album of the Year.

  • New Blue Sun by André 3000

  • Cowboy Carter by Beyoncé

  • Short n’ Sweet by Sabrina Carpenter

  • Brat by Charli XCX

  • Djessee Vol. 4 by Jacob Collier

  • Hit Me Hard and Soft by Billie Eilish

  • The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess by Chappell Roan

  • The Tortured Poets Department by Taylor Swift

My prediction for this category is “The Tortured Poets Department” by Taylor Swift. Taylor’s lyrics and storytelling abilities in this album reach completely new heights. She captures raw emotions, and leaves a lasting impression on the listener. While Billie’s album “Hit Me Hard and Soft” is absolutely beautiful, and Chappel Roan’s “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess” is a pop triumph, Taylors album feels timeless. It’s poetic, personal, and exactly what her fans were hoping for.

Song of the Year.

  • A Bar Song (Tipsy) by Shaboozey

  • Birds of a Feather by Billie Eilish

  • Die With a Smile by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars

  • Fortnight by Taylor Swift featuring Post Malone

  • Good Luck, Babe by Chappell Roan

  • Not Like Us by Kendrick Lamar

  • Please Please Please by Sabrina Carpenter

  • Texas Hold Em by Beyonce

For this category, I’m putting my money on “Please Please Please” by Sabrina Carpenter. Sabrina’s ability to write a song that’s both vulnerable and empowering is unmatched. Her vocals feel like they’re straight from the heart. “Birds if a Feather” by Billie Eilish and “Die With a Smile” by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars are equally impactful, but “Please Please Please” has something about it that sticks with you long after it ends.

Best New Artist.

  • Benson Boone

  • Sabrina Carpenter

  • Doechii

  • Khruangbin

  • Raye

  • Chappell Roan

  • Shaboozey

  • Teddy Swims

This category is full of talent, but my prediction is Chappel Roan. Her unique sound and creativity make her stand out. “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess” introduced her as a flawless face in the music industry. From her pop anthems to slow ballads, Chappell’s music connects with listeners on a personal level. Although Sabrina and Raye are also strong contenders, Chappell’s rise this year has been undeniable.

Best Pop Solo Performance.

  • Bodyguard by Beyoncé

  • Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter

  • Apple by Charli XCX

  • Birds of a Feather by Billie Eilish

  • Good Luck, Babe by Chappell Roan

“Birds of a Feather” by Billie Eilish is my pick for this category. Billie’s vocal performance in this song is incredible. Every note in this song feels intentional and full of emotion. Although Beyoncé’s “Bodyguard” and Charli XCX’s “Apple” are amazing performances, Billie’s song is just absolutely perfect.

Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

  • Us by Gracie Abrams featuring Taylor Swift

  • Levi’s Jeans by Beyoncé featuring Post Malone

  • Guess by Charli XCX & Billie Eilish

  • That Boy is Mine by Ariana Grande, Brandy & Monica

  • Die With a Smile by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars.

This category is in a three way tie for me. My personal favorite of these is “Us” by Gracie and Taylor, but I feel the most popular song is either “Guess” or “Die With a Smile.” I feel all three of these songs have the same chance of winning. I wish I could give each one a reward, because they are all so incredible yet different. If I had to choose, I would say “Die With a Smile” would win. Its an absolute masterpiece.

Best Pop Vocal Album.

  • Short n’ Sweet by Sabrina Carpenter

  • Hit Me Hard and Soft by Billie Eilish

  • Eternal Sunshine by Ariana Grande

  • The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess by Chappel Roan

  • The Tortured Poets Department by Taylor Swift

“HIt Me Hard and Soft” by Billie Eilish is the only correct winner here. Billie’s voice is haunting and beautiful, and her ability to convey emotion through her vocals are unmatched. The album is full of depth, vulnerability, and emotion. Sabrina’s “Short n’ Sweet” is a close contender, as it showcases her growth as a pop artist. Taylor’s “The Tortured Poets Department” is another close one, but Billie steals the show.

Every single artist and song nominated this year deserves recognition and applause. The Grammys remind us of the power music has to move, inspire, and connect us. These predictions come from a mix of personal favorites as well as what feels like the general favorite of music lovers this year. I cant wait to see who takes home the awards and celebrate the phenomenal artists and producers.
