Officially welcoming Damien Bigara (vocalist), Gary Handelaar (guitarist), Jacob Rentoule (guitarist), Jake Camilleri (drummer) and Jordy Bennet (bassist). Diesect introduced a new atmosphere, their set was instantly powerful and sharp, catching my attention immediately. Although this marks as one of their first big tours in Australia, they remained confident and performed beautifully. The emotion reflected directly onto the crowd with a mosh pit instantly forming. The crowd matched the energy provided by the band, the pit became more energized as the setlist continued. Diesect showcased their deluxe edition of their EP ‘Hide From The Light’ via Greyscale Records, really highlighting their fusion of Nu-metal and metalcore tones.

It became time for Spite to take the stage in Newcastle. As their opening intro played you could feel the anticipation from the crowd, the stage was black as the adrenaline began to rise. Suddenly the intro to ‘New World Killer’ came into play, instantly putting the room into motion. The atmosphere was massive, visually it complimented the band's stage presence. Lead vocalist Darius Tehrani left no time to waste as he instantly controlled the crowd, curating a strong connection with the audience, The crowd's reaction took off instantly, exploding into chaos, the mosh pit executed this concept creating a hardcore mosh pit directly in the centre. The stage presence Darius Tehrani maintains, gave the crowd a new type of energy to match.

During Spite's set, one thing that really stood out from the rest was not only the way Darius Tehrani engaged with the audience, but how he executed his emotions. The whole band maintained a rhythmic head bang followed by a full circle head spin from the lead vocalist. This really captured the atmosphere as when turning around to face the crowd, it was evident the crowd was attempting to do the same move.
