South Arcade Reveal New Single "Superman" and Announce Biggest Headline Show To Date

On April 10, emerging UK band South Arcade released their new single “SUPERMAN”, alongside a music video directed by DOGBRAIN. The new track fuses the band’s early-2000s aesthetic with varied influences, which makes it feel both like a throwback and new at the same time. The pop elements intertwining with the alt-rock instrumentation create catchy hooks and punchy choruses.

The official music video really leans into their rebellious side, examining the divide between imagined outbursts and socially acceptable behavior. Each band member starts off as a regular person dealing with normal situations and as the pre-chorus ramps up, everything shatters into stylized flashes of chaos, followed by going back to the mundane on the chorus. By the end of the video, it is clear that all the alter egos are actually a representation for intrusive thoughts.

"'SUPERMAN' is about being pushed past breaking point. All patience has tapped out and you put the song on as your rage anthem. We found it funny how the verses are so chill then it just suddenly goes crazy, which kind of summed up the feelings we wanted. When you're sick of being the one who always holds it together and something has pushed you over the edge."

The new single was released right after the band announced their biggest headline show to date, which will take place on February 27, 2027 at London’s iconic O2 Academy Brixton. The announcement was made during their set at The O2 Arena supporting 5 Seconds Of Summer.

Until then, 2026 is a huge year for South Arcade as they will perform at various festivals, such as Download Festival and TRNSMT Festival, and will return to the U.S. for the idobi Summer School Tour and the Vans Warped Tour.
