Slaughter To Prevail is back—and they’re coming in heavier, harder, and more brutal than ever. The Russian deathcore juggernaut has officially announced their next full-length album GRIZZLY, which drops July 18 via Sumerian Records. This marks one of the most anticipated metal releases of the year—and they’re kicking it off with an absolute beast of a single, “Russian Grizzly In America.” The track comes with a savage new music video, complete with a towering animatronic bear and a cameo from UFC heavyweight Alexander Volkov. Yes, it’s as wild as it sounds. Watch the video for “Russian Grizzly In America”
Vocalist Alex Terrible had some powerful words about the new album: “This is the most intense and personal album we’ve made. We finally took the time to do everything the right way—no rushing, no compromises. Every detail matters, and we put our souls into every single track. I truly believe Grizzly is our best work to date.”
Slaughter To Prevail continues to push the limits of heavy music. Known for their terrifyingly powerful sound and unrelenting energy, they’ve become one of the most streamed extreme metal acts on the planet—boasting over 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify. And it’s not just online. Their live shows are chaotic, high-octane events that pack out venues and dominate festival stages. Just last year, they shattered records at HELLFEST with one of the largest wall-of-death pits the festival’s ever seen.
The band’s origin story is as unexpected as their sound. Alex Terrible, known for his monstrous vocal covers on YouTube, connected online with guitarist Jack Simmons, a British shredder from the outskirts of Essex. Their long-distance collaboration sparked the birth of Slaughter To Prevail, which soon gained traction and caught the attention of Sumerian Records. Fast-forward to now, and they’ve racked up hundreds of millions of streams, built a fiercely loyal fanbase, and continue to raise the bar for modern metal.
Outside of music, Alex is making noise in another brutal arena: bare-knuckle fighting. After a 37-second knockout in Russia’s RCC Bare Knuckle, he's now training for a fight with Top Dog Bare Knuckle in May. There's even talk of him stepping into the American scene via Bare Knuckle FC. Whether he's throwing down in a cage or on stage, Alex embodies raw, unfiltered intensity.
With a stacked summer tour schedule that includes major festivals across the U.S., Canada, and Europe, 2025 is shaping up to be a landmark year for the band. Their upcoming live show promises a completely reimagined experience—heavier, more chaotic, and built to leave a lasting mark on anyone brave enough to step into the pit.

Grizzly is more than just a record—it’s a statement. Alongside previously released bangers like “Conflict,” “Viking,” “1984,” “Behelit,” and “Kid of Darkness,” the album mixes primal aggression with explosive hooks and crushing breakdowns. And with the latest single, “Russian Grizzly In America,” Slaughter To Prevail is ready to cement their place at the top of the extreme metal world.
