Skip Class and The Dropouts Shares New Single "Sauce" and Music Video

Chicago, IL-based indie-rock band, Skip Class and The Dropouts, release new single “Sauce“ Giving us the right amount of groovy to be able to boogie with. The funky beats and clean smooth vocals give us a sort of bright surrounding fun that just makes you want to dance. The guitar riff throughout the song itself is almost nostalgic, channeling something we don’t hear a lot anymore.

"Sauce is a groovy, uptempo track about a girl. The term "sauce" is really just a metaphor for swag or confidence. We incorporated some 70's disco influences and we had a lot of fun with the falsetto vocals on the chorus. It was recorded at IPR studios in Chicago, mixed and mastered by Erik Sraga." - Skip Class and The Dropouts.

"Sauce“ is also accompanied by a music video. The video is set in a skating rink including all the band's friends, families, and even a roller derby team! Throughout the video, we meet a woman who gets pushed around until her confidence builds enough to get through and push everyone who knocked her down!

Check it out below for yourself!

"The video was super fun to shoot. We rented out a roller rink on the South side of Chicago and told a bunch of friends and fans to come. We also know a roller derby friend who rallied her whole crew, which pretty much made the video. They had a ton of fun pushing us around. It was directed by Brandon Gassell with Brand1 Films." - Skip Class and The Dropouts.
