SCOWL MAKE LATE NIGHT TV DEBUT ON THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT

Fans of hardcore music, punk rock music, emo music, alternative music, and all the things in between are once again treated with a win as up and coming Bay Area hardcore band Scowl made their late night television debut on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. These last few years there have been bands having standout moments on late night TV like Turnstile on Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers, as well as the infamous Knocked Loose performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. With similar bands getting their flowers, it’s only fitting that Scowl get theirs as well.

The band performed their song ‘Tonight (I’m Afraid)’ which is fresh off their new critically acclaimed album ‘Are We All Angels’. The band effortlessly crushed it and did an excellent job playing to the live crowd as well as the close up cameras that were panning from member to member onstage. The track has a unique vibe of starting out slow and vibey and gradually the sound, pace, and energy eventually pickup and was sure to wake up the studio audience, many of whom were likely discovering them for the first time. It’s always refreshing to see a band like this who come from a scene that some may consider having a glass ceiling take a massive stage like this and own it. To say that this band did that is an understatement.

Scowl just recently finished their tour supporting Orange County band Movements on their headliner, and will be heading out to Europe and the UK shortly. Followed by that is some support shows for Modern Color and Drain, along with their own headliner happening in between those. Scowl is a band that is extremely deserving of the recognition they’re getting and is sure to continue their fast rise that they’ve been on as of late. You can view a full list of their current tour dates listed below.
