Sadistic Force Unveil New EP "Morbid Odyssey", Releasing August 22

Austin, Texas’ own blackened speed metal maniacs SADISTIC FORCE are back and more vicious than ever, unveiling their brand new EP Morbid Odyssey, set for release on August 22nd. To kick off the chaos, the band has dropped the lead single, “Soft Flesh for the Dungeon of the Damned,” along with a blood-soaked music video premiering now over at Metal Injection.

Rising from the charred heart of Austin, SADISTIC FORCE is a high-octane assault of blackened speed metal. Formed in late 2020 as the brainchild of guitarist/vocalist James Oliver, the project evolved quickly into a full-powered beast with the addition of bassist Mike Gupta and drummer JP Campo. SADISTIC FORCE pulls no punches with this new offering. Clocking in at five tracks of pure, unrelenting fury, Morbid Odyssey is their most dialed-in, aggressive, and venomous material to date. Mixed and mastered by Noah Buchanan (Nunslaughter, Midnight) at Mercenary Studios, the EP sharpens the band’s already razor-edged sound into something more lethal and focused.

Guest solos from Matteo Von Bewitcher (Bewitcher), Tony Rot, and Mark Pursino (Electrocutioner) add even more firepower to the record, reinforcing the band’s deep ties to traditional heavy metal, old-school thrash, and the darkest corners of extreme metal.

“Soft Flesh for the Dungeon of the Damned” kicks off with a thunderous tom roll courtesy of drummer JP Campo, before diving headfirst into a sonic hellscape. Equal parts blistering thrash and sadistic groove, the track captures the feeling of being chained to the wall of a medieval torture chamber with only screaming guitars for company.

The band explains: “This one’s a brutal descent into the dungeons of depravity. Think classic European thrash turned all the way up and left to rot in a coffin full of broken chains and rusted blades. It’s fast, it’s sharp, and it doesn’t let go.”

Morbid Odyssey isn’t just a title—it’s a descent into a world of hallucinogenic horror, satanic vengeance, and blood-slicked revenge. From the twisted dreamscape of the title track to the searing witch-hunt narrative of “Abnormal Cruelties,” SADISTIC FORCE proves they’re more than just riffs and speed—they’re storytellers of the savage and surreal.

The band also says “We’re not here to be background noise. Morbid Odyssey is a full-throttle love letter to the golden era of metal—dripping with evil, speed, and a dangerous amount of swagger.
