Just last week, blonde bombshell Sabrina Carpenter released her newest track, ‘Manchild’. The country-inspired synth-based summer hit, produced by pop darling Jack Antonoff, highlights everything wrong with men in today's dating scene. To promote the track, Carpenter plastered billboards with song lyrics along Interstate 69 as well as posting a short teaser online. She followed up the release of ‘Manchild’ with a beautifully shot, trailer-inspired music video that you can now watch HERE.
With ‘Manchild’ sounding like an offshoot from Carpenters' 2024 Album Short n’ Sweet, fans believed that this new track was simply a way for the popstar to keep her era going as she’s booked to play major festivals this summer and continue her Short n’ Sweet Tour this fall. What we all didn’t know was that ‘Manchild’ would swiftly become the lead single off Carpenter’s seventh studio album.
On June 11th, Carpenter announced Man’s Best Friend, a full-length album set to release on August 29th. The project will release just a year after her Grammy-winning album Short n’ Sweet, proving that Carpenter really is working late because she’s a singer. While we don’t know much about Man’s Best Friend currently beyond the album's cover and surrounding aesthetic, but make sure you continue tuning into Ultraviolet Magazine for later updates!
