ree

There is a new storm brewing in the Las Vegas desert and their name is Roman Candle. Breaking out of the local scene and into the big leagues, the band has just announced their signing to Sumerian Records. They are joining a stacked roster of bands and artists including the likes of The Smashing Pumpkins, Bad Omens, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Palaye Royale, and Poppy just to name a few.

Last week, the band dropped an explosive new single titled ‘Fire In The Sky Forever’. Lyrically the song captures subject matter pertaining to betrayal, punishment, and self-resurrection. The track has a relentless tone and production value that compliment each member at their absolute best. Vocalist Piper Ferrari provides a powerful performance in this track that is sure to pave the way for a new wave of hardcore vocalists in the future. Drummer Alex Dupis has numerous moments of shining through with all sorts of standout drum fills that encapsulate the backbone of this band's heavy sound. Bassist Sergio Lopez also provides standout moments during the breakdowns of this track as well keeping everything as tight as can be. Guitarist Jonas Vece delivers riffage and guitar elements that feel familiar to that unhinged riffage of many heavier bands from past generations (‘At The Drive In’, ‘The Used’, ‘Every Time I Die’, and ‘Knocked Loose’ are a few names that come to mind).

There is absolutely nowhere else but up for this band to go, and it is almost a foregone conclusion that they’ll be a staple in getting added to big package tours in the future. There was also a brief disclosure of a full album on the way. Overall, this track provides a genuine preview of what is to come from this band that everyone should take notice of now. For fans of modern day hardcore looking for something new to get behind, this is an absolute imperative listen. You can listen to the track and watch the official visualizer below.
