Pop Evil Announce New Album "What Remains" Out March 21st & Spring Tour 2025

Forged from the blue- collar grassroots of the local Michigan rock scene in 2001, Pop Evil now stands tall as a modern rock powerhouse to be reckoned with thanks to lead vocalist Leigh Kakaty and his cohort of misfits, guitarists Dave Grahs & Nick Fuelling, bassist Joey "Chicago" Walser, and drummer Blake Allison.  The bands' forthcoming eighth album, "What Remains" is due out March 21st via MNRK, is stuffed full of their heaviest arena ready riffs to date.

Lyrically, Leigh has opened his heart and mind, and left his soul on the floor for fans to sift through in hopes of having "that one song that can connect with that one person. And that process has to start with yourself,"  Kakaty says about the new music. "There's a lot of personal healing on this record, a lot of things I wanted to get out for my own mental well-being.  I'm finally at a place where I can confront my demons."

Pop Evil are known for their heavy riffs, gut punching drums and their rip-roaring sing-along choruses.  They haven't strayed too far from that formula on the latest effort but they're definitely expanding the palate.  When asked, Kakaty says, "We set out to push boundaries. Metal has always been a part of our DNA, but we've never made it such a focal point before."  He goes on to say that the writing was directed by letting the songs find their own way instead of crafting radio friendly tunes for the masses. "I think you can really hear the mood and emotion of the album's themes in the music," he said.

Celebrating the new album with fans is half the fun of releasing a new record so Pop Evil are hosting a private listening party in NYC on the eve of the release on March 20th at Cult Of Individuality in NYC hosted by Jose Mangin from SiriusXM Octane.

This exclusive event will also feature a Q&A with the band and fans will be treated to an acoustic performance!  Details on how to win your way into that listening party haven't been announced yet but stay tuned.

Pop Evil isn't done yet with exciting news!  The band also announced a huge headlining tour for the Spring in support of the new album, aptly titled "What Remains North American Tour" and features Devour the Day (which will have Joey and Blake from Pop Evil pulling double duty every night playing two sets so don't miss that) as well as their friends Return To Dust and Oni coming along as support.  Check out the tour dates below and get your ticket before they sell out!

VIP upgrade packages are also available and include exclusive items like a sticker, laminate, limited edition Lava variant vinyl of the new album, "What Remains," a holographic screen printed poster, early entry into the venue and first access to merch, plus a meet & greet photo op with the band!  Concert tickets are NOT included in the VIP package and need to be purchased separately to take part in the VIP experience.
