Switzerland-based Paleface Swiss have continued building anticipation for the release of their third album “Cursed”, with the unveiling of their newest single “Love Burns”. The newest single slightly differs from the brutal heaviness of of previous singles like “Hatred”, which was recently included in Loudwire’s ‘Best Rock and Metal Songs of 2024’ list and nominated for “Angriest Song of the Year” in Nik Nocturnal’s annual music awards, and “My Blood on Your Hands”, which was also nominated in Nik Nocturnal Awards 2024 for “Best Animal Noise”. “Love Burns” combines Paleface Swiss’ signature deathcore intensity with an emotional narrative, showcasing the band’s evolving artistry. Watch the official music video for the track HERE.

“Love Burns” picks up where “My Blood on Your Hands” left off, telling the fictional story of a romance turned toxic. The song begins with classic brutal screams, heavy riffs, and thunderous drum beats, then concludes with a surprisingly melodic outro. “Love Burns” proves how Paleface Swiss can stay true to their unique style while pushing their own artistic boundaries, and also pushing the boundaries of the deathcore genre. Each track on the upcoming album “Cursed” is represented by a different flower as shown on the album artwork; “Love Burns” is symbolized by a cyclamen, a flower associated with parting, resignation, and saying goodbye. As a song that tells the painful story of a person who remembers his past lover, reminiscing on all the pain they caused them and wondering why their lover chose to destroy the relationship the way they did, the cyclamen is the perfect choice to represent “Love Burns”. The band’s upcoming third full-length record “Cursed” is set to release on January 3, 2025.

Frontman Marc “Zelli” Zellweger explains, “‘Love Burns’ is a combination of the old and new, and it’s a song I’m immensely proud of. The story I want to tell is something everyone can relate to. The concept of the album, in which each flower represents an emotion and a track, makes it all the more cohesive for me.”
