Nothing More, the boundary-pushing three-time Grammy-nominated band, continues to gain momentum, having achieved four #1 singles from a single album. This remarkable accomplishment places them in an exclusive group of artists, including Metallica, Linkin Park, Five Finger Death Punch, Papa Roach, and Falling In Reverse, who have reached the same milestone.
Their latest single, “FREEFALL” (featuring Chris Daughtry), has propelled them back to the #1 spot on both the Billboard “Mainstream Rock Airplay” and Mediabase “Active Rock” charts.
“FREEFALL” is the fourth single from their critically acclaimed album, CARNAL, released through Better Noise Music. It follows three previous hits that also reached #1: “HOUSE ON SAND” (featuring Eric Vanlerberghe from I Prevail), “ANGEL SONG” (featuring David Draiman), and “IF IT DOESN’T HURT.”
“It has been incredible to see a song that means so much to us resonate with so many people,” says Daniel Oliver of the band. “We are truly honored to have Chris Daughtry lend his voice and spirit to this track. A huge thank you to K9s For Warriors for the amazing work you do, and to everyone else who helped bring this song to life. You’ve helped us reach the top of the charts for the fourth time in a row!”
“It is a privilege to celebrate this win with a band that I admire and love so much!” adds Chris Daughtry.
NOTHING MORE blends a full-on assault of sound with soaring melodies and unique soundscapes in songs that unflinchingly embrace raw emotion. Their album, CARNAL, has accumulated 133 million streams to date. It has been praised as “one of the band's most eclectic releases” by Blabbermouth and features 15 “energized rock anthems that capture the band's infectious live prowess,” according to Knotfest.
The deluxe edition of CARNAL was released across all digital platforms on March 28th and is also available on CD and vinyl. This deluxe edition includes five bonus tracks: a live version of "ANGEL SONG," recorded during the band’s set at the Aftershock Festival 2024, where NOTHING MORE was joined onstage by guest vocalist David Draiman from Disturbed; two remixed songs by Matt Good (of Hollywood Undead and Asking Alexandria) and Justin “JD” Deblieck (from Ice Nine Kills and Motionless In White); and a new song titled "WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE," which was released on February 7th.
Additionally, a new version of the powerful track "FREEFALL," featuring 6x Platinum-certified rock artist Chris Daughtry, was also released on March 28th across all digital outlets. The video for "FREEFALL" movingly depicts the story of a firefighter struggling with mental health, who finds new direction in life after making an unexpected connection with a homeless dog. You can watch the video on Better Noise Music’s official YouTube page.
The video for “FREEFALL" filmed in Clifton, Tennessee, features the town’s fire chief and sheriff, who also served as technical advisors. In casting for this narrative-driven video, the band prioritized collaborating with individuals who understand the unique challenges faced by firefighters and first responders. To enhance authenticity, they enlisted real-life heroes as technical advisors. Additionally, director and actor Michael Lombardi was chosen by the band to star in the video due to his personal experience and connections with firefighters. Lombardi is well-known for his role as a series regular in the acclaimed FX series "Rescue Me," which aired for 100 episodes and received multiple Golden Globe and Emmy nominations and awards. The series explored the lives of firefighters dealing with real-life issues, including the aftermath of 9/11 trauma and personal struggles.
NOTHING MORE has partnered with K9s For Warriors to release the song “FREEFALL" K9s For Warriors is the leading provider of highly trained service dogs for veterans with invisible wounds of war. As part of its mission, the K9s' Station Dog program collaborates with law enforcement and first responder agencies to provide reliable, high-quality therapy dogs that offer emotional support to officers, firefighters, dispatchers, victims, and others who have been exposed to trauma in the line of duty.
In the U.S., approximately 20 veterans take their own lives each day, while more than 1,000 dogs are euthanized. K9s For Warriors is determined to end veteran suicide by providing highly trained service dogs—many of which are rescues—to military veterans suffering from PTSD or traumatic brain injury, at no financial cost to the veterans. Since its inception in 2011, K9s For Warriors has graduated over 1,000 warriors and rescued more than 2,000 dogs.
In conjunction with the release of their song and video, the band is offering pet-related merchandise on their official website. A portion of the proceeds will support organizations such as K9s For Warriors. Additionally, a donation link is provided in the video, allowing viewers to contribute directly to the organization’s website. NOTHING MORE has set a goal of raising $20,000, which is the amount required to sponsor, rescue, and train a service dog.
