My Chemical Romance Drops Cryptic New Post On Instagram

via My Chemical Romance's Instagram

It's been about three weeks since My Chemical Romance has been sighted at When We Were Young Festival. It's been two and a half years since the release of their newest song, The Foundations Of Decay, and their reunion tour ended a little shy of two years ago.

So no one would have expected to hear from them, well, at all. In addition to the fact that they hadn't posted anything from their most recent performance at When We Were Young, they had a tendency to go silent after their tours and performances at festivals in the past, so nothing was expected from them.

Until, on a random Monday—November 11th to be exact—the New Jersey emo pillars posted an image on their Instagram account with what looked like a foggy city in the bottom of the image, and the letters "KCR" typed out in red with what looks to be confetti over the entire image. The caption is also quite interesting too, reading, "If you could be anything, what would you be?". However, no one can respond to this question as comments are turned off on the post. Interesting choice....

Naturally, fans of My Chem went insane over this new post, but some disregarded it at first, believing it was a similar situation as when their Facebook page got hacked earlier in the summer. However, confirmation came from guitarist Frank Iero liking the post and bassist Mikey Way reposting the image to his story. So of course, fans have gotten right to work creating theories and speculating what is to come. Some believe it could be a reference or allusion to the band's scrapped concept album, The Paper Kingdom, which was being worked on shortly before the band broke up in 2013, some are predicting new tour dates, or simply some new music.

Whatever this post may be predicting, it's a good bet to keep your eyes peeled for any sign of life from these Black Paraders. Something in the air is telling us they're not quite done just yet.
