Get ready for an exciting release, Friday, August 9, 2024, as the American masked metal masters MUSHROOMHEAD drop their highly anticipated ninth studio album, Call The Devil, via Napalm Records. To mark the upcoming album release and the start of their European tour, the band has unveiled an electrifying third single called "We Don't Care". This track is sure to become a fan favorite with its powerful chanting chorus and unforgettable hook.
With a groundbreaking history spanning 30 years, MUSHROOMHEAD continues to push the boundaries of their genre, remaining innovative while staying true to their distinctive sound and imagery.
After a hiatus of 12 years, the iconic guitarist Dave "Gravy" Felton has made a long-awaited return to MUSHROOMHEAD. Felton, known for his pivotal role in crafting the band's classic anthems such as “Along The Way”, “Sun Doesn’t Rise” and “The Dream Is Over”, has lent his trademark skills to two tracks on the band's latest album, "Call The Devil". Produced once again by the band's drummer and mastermind, Steve "Skinny" Felton, and mixed by Matt Wallace (known for his work with Faith No More and 3 Doors Down), "Call The Devil" also marks the band's first collaboration with Jacob Hansen (renowned for his work with Volbeat, Epica, and Arch Enemy) for mastering.
The album opens with the explosive "Eye To Eye", featuring Gravy's grooving riff and warning sirens, setting the tone for an intense and electrifying musical journey. "Call The Devil" showcases MUSHROOMHEAD's diverse musical prowess, from the emotive and surprisingly jazzy "Emptiness" to the haunting "Hallelucination" and the dramatic carnival creeper "UIOP (A Final Reprieve)". The album also features heavy hitters such as "Prepackaged", "Hideous", and "Torn In Two", solidifying the band's revered status in the metal genre.
