Miranda Lambert Announces Special Billy Bob’s Texas Show to Celebrate New Album Crisco
Miranda Lambert is bringing her new era of country music back home to Texas.
The country superstar has announced a special one-night-only album release celebration at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth on Tuesday, October 6, just four days after the arrival of her highly anticipated new studio album, Crisco. The album is set for release October 2 via MCA.
Tickets for the exclusive performance went on sale to the general public August 14 at 10 a.m. CT through Lambert’s official website, with the show expected to draw fans from across Texas and beyond.
The choice of Billy Bob’s Texas feels particularly fitting for an album that Lambert describes as a meeting point between country music’s honky-tonk roots and the energy of disco.
“When I was in the studio recording Crisco, I kept picturing the rhinestone saddle at Billy Bob’s,” Lambert said in announcing the show. She described the legendary Fort Worth venue as the perfect visual representation of the album’s aesthetic — honky tonk with some extra rhinestones and shine.
For Lambert, the venue is more than simply a recognizable Texas landmark. Billy Bob’s has been part of her career for years, and the singer has performed some of her favorite shows there. She previously returned to the venue for a five-show run in 2021 as part of its 40th-anniversary celebrations.
Now, she is returning to the legendary dance hall to celebrate what could be one of the most adventurous musical chapters of her career. At the heart of Crisco is an unexpected but increasingly clear musical idea: country and disco may have more in common than listeners initially realize.
Rather than abandoning the honky-tonk spirit that has defined much of Lambert’s career, the new project appears to amplify it with a more glamorous, dance-oriented sound. Crisco follows Lambert’s 2024 album Postcards from Texas, which earned a GRAMMY nomination and extended her remarkable streak of 10 consecutive Top 10 albums on the Top Country Albums chart. Over the course of her career, Lambert has established herself as one of country music's most consistently successful and influential artists. Her career has expanded well beyond recording and touring, with the singer also working as a producer, entrepreneur, author, restaurateur and advocate.
She has won three GRAMMY Awards and 14 Country Music Association Awards and remains the most-awarded artist in Academy of Country Music history, including the organization's Entertainer of the Year honor.
In recent years, Lambert has continued to build an increasingly diverse creative portfolio.
