On May 30th, 2025- Metalcore titans have returned with a brand new single "Lonely God" via Solid State Records. Fit For A King is a metal band based in Texas, which consists of members Ryan Kirby on vocals, Bobby Lynge on guitars, Daniel Gailey on guitar, Trey Celaya and Ryan "Tuck" O'Leary on bass. The band is set to release their eighth studio album titled 'Lonely God', which is set to release on August 1st. "Lonely God" is the first single following the release of "Technium", which features Landon Tewers from The Plot In You.
Vocalist Ryan Kirby shares to fans about "Lonely God", "In general, 'Lonely God' relates to the pursuit of power...They're trading companionship, relationships, and love for power and money. You may have all of the power and be a 'God,'Â but it's a lonely spot because the world despises you."
To add on, "Lonely God is the result of us writing with no agendas. We didn't care about which song could be viral, or if we needed radio tracks, etc. We just wrote what we wanted, for the first time, in a really long time... "All five of us have our fingerprints on this album. We found a way to balance our voices. We've always been genuine with the lyrics, and that's the case again. There’s so much heart behind all of the instrumentation too. There’s definitely a lot of growth because our bond is tighter than ever."
