Metalcore is Still Huge: What Lies Below Return with New Single “The Silence We Keep”

Metalcore powerhouses What Lies Below have returned with a new single, “The Silence We Keep”. They also released a music video, which you can watch here.

The video focuses on different angles of all the band members, while bright neon colors and geometric patterns flash across the screen. In between the chorus, they also show what appears to be paint being dropped on a sphere. This video embodies all the geometric patterns.

Regarding the song, vocalist Andrew Watson states, “This song expresses feelings of loss, confusion, and emotional struggle. It explores the pain of watching love slip away, like sand through fingers, and the resulting emptiness. The lyrics convey a search for clarity amidst a fractured reality…”

Although the lyrics are not very happy and uplifting, this new track is incredibly catchy. With super fun riffs and a catchy chorus you can’t help but sing along to, What Lies Below has dropped yet another banger.

What Lies Below hails from Harrisburg, PA and they continue to prove why they are one of the best in the game. With less than 100K monthly listeners on Spotify, with this release this needs to change soon. I discovered What Lies Below last year when they released their first album, Darker Colors.  If you haven’t checked it out yet, do yourself a favor and listen to it now. Actually, listen to “The Silence We Keep” and then the new album. You will not be disappointed. If you are looking for a new band to add to your playlist and you are a fan of bands like ERRA, Make Them Suffer and Currents, then we have just the band for you.

What Lies Below has only been in the scene since 2021, but if what they have in the pipeline is any similar to their most recent releases, this band should be blowing up.

What Lies Below will be supporting Asking Alexandria on their current tour. Check out whether or not they will be hitting a city near you!
