Over the years, Mayday Parade has built a lasting legacy, amassing over 1.43 billion streams and maintaining a strong connection with fans. With Mayday Parade now celebrating their 20th anniversary, they are continuing to build excitement for their upcoming three-part studio album with the release of their latest single, “Towards You.”
The track marks the third single from Sweet, the first installment of their ambitious new project, set to drop on April 18, 2025. A heartfelt and stripped-down love song, “Towards You” highlights the band’s signature songwriting style. This release, according to the band, follows the upbeat “By The Way” and the introspective “Pretty Good To Feel Something,” showing the band’s ability to blend different emotions and styles.
“‘Towards You’ is really just a simple love song,” says vocalist Derek Sanders. “Sometimes, all you need is an acoustic guitar, some singing, and some strings to tell someone how much you love them.” Additionally, as a Mayday Parade fan, listening to Towards You delivers a sound that is both an ongoing and loving vibe, as well as playful and optimistic.
Sweet is just the beginning of this new chapter, arriving right before the start of their Three Cheers for Twenty Years Tour, which kicks off April 22nd in St. Petersburg, FL. The band will travel across North America, celebrating their career with fans, including a stop at the When We Were Young festival in Las Vegas.
Recorded with longtime producers Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount (All Time Low, Jimmy Eat World), this trilogy marks their first full-length project since 2021’s What It Means To Fall Apart and their first independent release since 2006’s Tales Told By Dead Friends EP, which they famously sold in parking lots during Vans Warped Tour.
With two more installments of the album set to arrive in the coming months, Mayday Parade is showing no signs of slowing down. Fans can stream “By The Way,” “Pretty Good To Feel Something,” and “Towards You” now! You can listen HERE
