I learned a lot about myself coming out of the relationship I wrote about and what I’m no longer willing to tolerate. I grew. I quit the substances that anchored me to my past, faced my depression, and transformed my pain into power," says Maggie Jo about her new track.
"Shooting the video wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. The day of the shoot arrived, and people backed out at the last minute. We were left scrambling and had to come up with backup plans on the spot. In those moments, I quickly learned that you either adapt, or everything will fall apart. There I was, with the wind smacking me in the face while singing my lyrics in the freezing cold, trying not to lose an eyelash. It turned into one of the greatest moments of my life, and I made amazing friends along the way. This is a new beginning. This is my debut, so let me reintroduce myself. I am Maggie Jo."
