LORDE ANNOUNCES HER ULTRASOUND WORLD TOUR

On May 8th, right as the New Pope was elected, New Zealand alt-pop icon Lorde sent the internet scrambling a she announced her Ultrasound World Tour. Despite the misleading name, Lorde at the moment will only be performing across North America and Europe, with shows set to begin on September 17th in Austin, Texas.



This tour announcement comes just a week after the singer-songwriter announced her fourth album, Virgin. The highly anticipated project will be out on the 27th of June via Universal. Virgin is co-produced by Lorde and Jim-E Stack, with major contributions from Dev Hynes (Blood Orange), Dan Nigro (Known for his recent work with Chappell Roan and Olivia Rodrigo), Fabiana Palladino, Andrew Aged and Buddy Ross. The Ultrasound World Tour marks the first time Lorde has any major stadiums since her Melodrama tour in 2017-2018. She’ll be hitting some of the world's most iconic venues such as Madison Square Garden, The Kia Forum, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and London’s O2 Arena, marking her first time headlining some of these stages. Lorde will have a rotating cast of opening acts, with Blood Orange and The Japanese House and Nilüfer Yana being second on the bill, and Chanel Beads, Empress of, Jime-E Stack, and Oklou finishing off row three. 




Fans will have the opportunity to sign up for Lorde’s pre-sale HERE to get access to an early sale that will take place on Wednesday, May 14th at 10 am local time. General on sale will begin two days later on Friday May 16th. For the best chance at tickets, we would recommend signing up for pre-sale, as everyone is yearning for a Lorde summer, meaning these tickets may be pretty hard to come by if you sleep on the opportunity.
