The Perth bands new song also gives us another taste of the genre-transcending sound from their upcoming EP, Die In My Prime. Perth heavy outfit Liveconformdie are back with "Heart Eater," the second track from their upcoming EP Die In My Prime out October 9.

The band recently released "Soul Devourer" following its earlier premiere on triple J CORE last month, and that full-on metalcore feast continues.

"Heart Eater" is centered on a slow and pounding core, the track's production jumping back and forth between loud, snarling guitars, electronic touches and the sort of precisely-manage chaos that's always been the Liveconformdie sound.

It's also got some darker lyrics.

"Power, brutality and desire told from the perspective of a person who embraces the thrill of domination and watching those around them weaken beneath their influence. Heart Eater is a warning shot for Die In My Prime, an EP seemingly set to test the limits of the band's sadistic streak even more."

For Liveconformdie, the debut also marks a new chapter for the band.

The band previously released Vol I: Cigarette Lullaby, Circa '94 and 2022's Vol II: Music for Living Failures. Following a lengthy hiatus from putting out music, the Perth outfit waited patiently while working towards a new sound for Die In My Prime.

That yields a record that continues a streak of behavior that has seen them jump back and forth between genres rather than zip up and down.

That strategy enabled Liveconformdie to reach an audience far beyond their home turf. The band has streamed their music over 11 million times on digital platforms and attracted a following outside of their native Australia, on the other side of the globe from their home city of Perth, one of the most remote cities in the world.

Distance has entered the chronicles of the band, but it hasn't restricted the reach of their music.

They also already have over 6000 minutes of back catalogue available, which continues to draw a crowd. They have also performed with the bands Stray From The Path, Paledusk, Thy Art Is Murder, Chelsea Grin, Born Of Osiris, The Amity Affliction, Being As An Ocean, Protest The Hero, Make Them Suffer and Polaris.

The track of "Soul Devourer" served as the first glimpse at the direction of the new material. Wall Of Sound highlighted the deathcore and hardcore elements of the song while METALBIRB compared the song's style to that of Kublai Khan.

"Heart Eater" now provides fans with another teaser from the new EP.

If those two singles are any indication, however, Die In My Prime shares that same mix that has kept Liveconformdie stubbornly hard to pin down: heavy riffs, electronic sounds, eclectic influences, and production that is consistently tight even when the music turns disorderly.

The full six-track EP arrives October 9.

Prior to that, "Heart Eater" can be watched on digital platforms.

The band will mark the release with an EP launch show at Amplifier Bar in Perth, October 17.
