Upcoming punk band Heartwells released their newest single “Backstabbers” via HEY!FEVER Records. The track is an energetic anthem reminiscent of early 2000s pop punk bands, such as Green Day, Blink-182, and Fall Out Boy, complete with catchy riffs and fun guitar solos. Much like 90s and early 2000s punk, the song sounds happy but is lyrically serious, calling out manipulative people. Check out the new song below:
About the new track, JT of Heartwells says, “Backstabbers is a song about seeing the true side of people once you have nothing left to offer them. The users and abusers of this world who only take from you until you have nothing left.”
“Backstabbers” is the newest release from Heartwells since 2024’s The New Old School. The new song was recorded and mixed by Paul Miner at Buzzbomb - Studios Orange, CA, and was mastered by Chris Hesse (Hoobastank) at The Lighthouse Recording.
