Koe Wetzel Single "Hurts Like You" Releases Proceeding June12th Album the Night Champion

Koe Wetzel storms Country Radio with newest single "Hurts Like You", amping up fan excitement for his new album The Night Champion is set to release June 12th. His Double-Platinum certified single "High Road" featuring Jessie Murphy spent a reported 5 weeks at No. 1 and was recorded as the most-played song on Country Radio for all of 2025.
Wetzel was born July 14th, 1992, in Pittsburg, Texas to his parents Julie and Harold Wetzel. His mother Julie was a traveling country artist while his father worked construction, therefore introducing Koe to music and the benefits of hard work at a young age. He started his band Koe Wetzel & the Konvicts in 2012 and performed in small venues across the states of Texas, showcasing his talent of mixing country and rock influences together to form music that connects emotionally and appeals to the raw vulnerability in everyone.
Koe Wetzel stated in an interview with Essential Broadcast Media that "'Hurts Like You' was one of the first songs that we wrote for a record." This song talks about toxic relationship situations and just how hard it is to complete let go, no matter how detrimental it is to your psyche. "It's hard to get away from. I feel like a lot of people go through that, so I hope people can relate to it the way that we do." VICE gave praise to the new release saying that it is "an alt-rock revival" and "blends Country & Western with post-grunge in a way that scratches so many itches."
The Night Champion is set to release June 12th and is said to be "a continuation of 9 Lives, from that record until now." 9 Lives was released July 19th , 2024 and since its release it has remained a fan favorite for many reasons. This album is reportedly a testament of growth for the young artist in his journey through fame and his artistic development. The Night Champion World Tour will kick off across the US norther Boarder in Edmonton Canada on July 8th and come to the US starting July 23rd in Nampa, Idaho at the Ford Idaho Center Amphitheater.
