Australia's KING PARROT has released a new single titled “Punish The Runt.” This song will feature on the band’s forthcoming full-length album KING PARROT: A Young Person's Guide To King Parrot set to be released June 6th via Housecore Records in North America.
With "Punish The Runt," KING PARROT fans will get just what they have been craving – an auditory assault that includes all their favorite elements of the band’s trademark sound. In this track, modern grindcore with punk rock ethos shines through alongside grooving riffs, and it serves as a testament to everything the band stands for.

We relished in putting this track together because it contains every aspect of what the band does: grind, thrash, punk, even rock n roll. It was one of the first tracks we put together in the writing sessions. We hope you all dig listening as much as we did writing.”
A Young Person’s Guide To King Parrot marks KING PARROT’s first new output in five years. An abrasive and hostile smack of sensory annihilating anthems, this record contains ten finely crafted bursts of fury from this mad Aussie quintet. It is the first full length album since 2017’s critically acclaimed Ugly Produce and their first new music since 2022’s Holed Up In The Lair EP. It was recorded at Dangertone studios in Melbourne with engineer Luke Walton.
Following similar writing approaches to their previous records, which has been documented as old school and organic, KING PARROT shifted their focus on studio processes. The effort of pulling the new record together was meticulously in the best possible way, and it is undeniably the most polished, aggressive, and urgent version of the band to date.
KING PARROT concluded a jaw dropping thirty-five date arena tour in the UK and Europe with Pantera and Power Trip, then did a full European club tour with death metal pioneers Master.
