Kenny Chesney Releases Single “Carry On” While Final Mixes Are Underway for His Newest Mystery

Country music legend Kenny Chesney releases newest single “Carry On” on May 8^th, 2026, as a precursor for his upcoming album currently in its final stages of studio mixing.

Often referred to as “the People’s Superstar”, Kenny is known for his beach-infused country music with Caribbean/tropical island influenced styles and continues to make music that makes you feel the freedom of summer. Achieving over 30 number one billboard country hits over the course of his 32-year career, he continues to write music and capture the hearts of America while doing so.

“Carry On” hit the radio hard closing the panel of 158 reporting radio stations in the first week making it only the third time in history that it has happened and later landed on No. 30 in its second week. Chesney’s last album, Heart Life Music, released in 2024 but with a strict deadline. However, the upcoming album is coming over a year after the 2024 release and Chesney states “Now I feel like there is some real hunger for this music. The world is in such a divided place, I think music that brings people together, that reminds them of their actual feelings is what they’re looking for – and that’s always been what holds my music together.” This new album is for people who are “looking to fill their days with light and joy, without pretending tough stuff doesn’t exist” and with the way people are streaming “Carry On”, I think it is safe to say that he has once again nailed it.
