If there’s one thing that’s for certain year in and year out, it’s that The Weeknd will be out and about breaking records. The newest one to add to his list is breaking the Sofi Stadium record for most sold out shows by a male artist. While Sofi is still a very new venue only having been around for a few years now, it is highly regarded as one of the most important and monumental places to play a show in all of live music. Home to the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers, the stadium has already seen juggernaut artists perform there such as Beyonce, Post Malone, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bad Bunny, Green Day, Travis Scott, Metallica, Blink-182, ILLENIUM, BTS, and countless more.
With the stadium's existence in Inglewood CA, a neighborhood in Los Angeles County, attending anything there feels like an event in itself regardless of who you see. Similar in the way that Madison Square Garden is for NYC, or The Sphere is for Las Vegas, Sofi Stadium has quickly become a venue with so much name value. Whether it’s the sleek look of the building, its oval-like jumbotron that spans across the entire stadium, or the 80,000 seats that are surprisingly comfortable (in most tiers at least), the stadium has become a bucket list place for artists and attendees alike.

With Abel achieving this record of selling out the stadium a record seven times in the building's history, the city of Inglewood CA recognized June 25-29 as “The Weeknd Week”. Drawing over 200,000 fans over the course of four nights, a plaque was gifted for this monumental milestone. During this tour, The Weeknd partnered with Global Citizen where a dollar from each ticket sold would be donated to support children from vulnerable cities and communities globally. Fans also have the opportunity to win a pair of tickets to each tour date by taking action to donate with Global Citizen.
