Imminence Unleashes Powerful Focus Track, "God Fearing Man"

After the massive worldwide success of their latest album, The Black, which dropped on April 12, 2024, Imminence has solidified their place as one of the fastest-growing and most in-demand bands in modern alternative music. Their rise has been fueled by a completely sold-out European tour in October, their first-ever U.S. headline tour—where most shows sold out—and an Australian debut that sold out faster than ever. 2024 was nothing short of a breakthrough year for Imminence.

Now, in early 2025, the band is keeping the momentum going with an almost entirely sold-out Scandinavian tour, leading up to the release of The Return of The Black—an expanded edition of their latest album. The first taste of this new chapter comes with their latest single and music video, "God Fearing Man," setting the stage for yet another explosive year.

Even after their busiest year yet, Imminence isn’t slowing down. Their 2025 journey begins with the release of their heaviest, most intense track to date, "Death Shall Have No Dominion," a song that dives into darker, more aggressive territory before transitioning into the powerful focus track, "God Fearing Man." As always, the band blends orchestral string elements—driven by vocalist and violinist Eddie Berg—with crushing instrumentals, further refining their signature "violincore" sound.

The Return of The Black not only builds on the album’s legacy but also features re-mastered tracks with an impressive lineup of guest artists, including Lucas Woodland (Holding Absence), Niklas Karlsson (Orbit Culture), Joel Holmqvist (Aviana), Scott Kennedy (Bleed From Within), and Tim Charles (Ne Obliviscaris). The extended edition also introduces two brand-new remixes by longtime collaborator VAAAL and an exclusive cover of The Black by Jiluka, who will be joining Imminence on their highly anticipated North American tour this spring. The album closes with the chilling instrumental track "La Douleur Qui Est Sans Fin," marking the final chapter of The Black era.

Recently, the band celebrated the 10-year anniversary of their debut album I with a special re-release, The Reclamation of I, featuring newly recorded vocals and a fresh mix and master. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting Imminence's decade-long journey that has gained them over a million followers, 400 million streams, and a streak of sold-out shows worldwide. Now, they're preparing for their biggest milestone yet—announcing their first-ever European arena headline tour, The Black Finale, which will bring a massive new production to five select cities in December 2025.

With The Return of The Black on the horizon, Imminence is gearing up for The Return of The Black Tour: North America 2025, followed by a packed summer of festival appearances and new international dates to be announced soon. The Black era is far from over, and 2025 is shaping up to be the band’s biggest year yet.
