Holywatr Unleash New Single “green room” Ahead of Massive North American Tour

Photo Credit: Harrison Woodward Alternative metal rising stars Holywatr are continuing their momentum-filled year with the release of their latest single, 'green room'. The new track arrives just weeks before the band begins an extensive North American tour, giving fans another taste of what Holywatr has been building throughout 2026.

The song 'green room' takes a darker and more sensual approach to the band’s sound. It opens with smooth, intimate vocals from frontman **Patrick Middleton** before gradually exploding into heavier drums and guitar-driven sections. That contrast between the song’s softer moments and its heavier chorus gives the track a dynamic feel, blending atmosphere, emotion, and the crushing energy Holywatr is known for.

The band produced the track themselves, while renowned producer and mixer Josh Wilbur, known for his work with bands such as Lamb of God, Korn, and Trivium, handled the mix. The result is a polished yet aggressive track that highlights Holywatr’s ability to move between vulnerability and intensity without losing their signature heaviness.

The inspiration comes from a rather unexpected tour experience. As the band explains, "They say love finds a way - in this case, it found its way into someone else’s green room on our last tour."

The release of 'green room' comes at an especially busy point for Holywatr. In April, the band released their third full-length album, 'Deo Gratias', an 11-track record that pushes their blend of alternative metal, emo, and metalcore into more atmospheric and experimental territory. The album explores everything from emotional vulnerability to massive, riff-heavy moments, further establishing Holywatr as one of the more exciting emerging names in heavy music. Following the single’s release, Holywatr will head out for their biggest headline tour yet. The Deo Gratias North American Tour begins September 20 in Louisville, Kentucky, at Louder Than Life and will take the band across the United States and Canada over the course of 40 dates.

The tour includes stops in major cities such as Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, New York, Atlanta, Austin, and Los Angeles, with the final show scheduled for November 22 at The Fonda Theatre in the band's hometown of Los Angeles. Along the way, Holywatr will also appear at several major festivals, including Louder Than Life, Aftershock, Ceremony Festival, and Vans Warped Tour Orlando.
