Welsh rock trio Holding Absence announced their first ever Australian headline tour in August, with Kingdom of Giants as their support act. Tickets go on sale Wednesday April 29 at 11am local time, via Destroy All Lines.
The first show of the tour will take place at Princess Theatre in Brisbane on August 14, followed by stops in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and concluding in Perth on August 20. It won’t be the first time in Australia for Holding Absence, as they have previously supported tours with Thornhill, Void Of Vision and You Me At Six.
Over the past decade, the Cardiff-based group has cultivated an international fanbase, earned a reputation as a must-see live act and have toured extensively across the UK, Europe, North America and Australia. Earlier this month they released their emotionally charged new single “Whisper Of A Dream”, marking their first release since 2023’s The Noble Art Of Self-Destruction and their debut under Sumerian Records.
Supporting them on all dates, Kingdom of Giants return to Australia after their 2023 tour with Bury Tomorrow. Since then they’ve dropped two new EPs, Bleeding Star and Burning Chrome and they are ready to take on Australian stages again. Their music exists at the crossroads of crushing intensity and captivating atmosphere, drawing from synthwave and cyberpunk influences to push the limits of contemporary heavy music.
