Hillhaven Drop "Temple + Tomb" Video

Hillhaven has released their newest single, “Temple & Tomb”, along with an accompanying music video. Watch the video HERE. This is the band’s sixth single since the release of their debut track “Damned to Dream” in April.

“Temple & Tomb” is a standout track that combines classic metalcore elements with emotional, personal lyrics. Through rhythmic riffs and powerful screams, the song details the battles of mental health struggles and dealing with the voices in one’s head. It does not try to sugarcoat the pain at all, but rather highlights the emotionally draining inner struggle that comes with mental illness. The song is sure to connect to metal fans around the world, finding solace that someone understands their pain.

Frontman Chris Kelly on Temple & Tomb: “'Temple & Tomb' is the chronicling of my own intrusive thoughts. Anxiety, depression, dysmorphia, the struggle for self-worth, pretty much all the bad shit makes an appearance here. It's angry and painful, but as a result, incredibly cathartic. The song was written and recorded in isolation, which really comes through on a visceral level, as I think most of us would attest that our worst thoughts often get louder when we're alone. Corny as it is to say, I very much hope people are able to connect to this song and find their own catharsis. If nothing else, it's confirmation that you're not alone."

Hillhaven consists of singer Chris Kelly (Alustrium, ex-Galactic Empire), drummer Maty Madiro (From Ashes to New), guitarist Ricky Armellino (Ice Nine Kills, HAWK), live From Ashes to New touring member Jimmy Bennett on guitar, and bassist Jaime Gowell.
