Hawthorne Heights Expands 'If Only You Were Lonely' 20th Anniversary Tour

Rock band Hawthorne Heights is continuing the celebration of the 20th anniversary of their fan-favorite album If Only You Were Lonely. The group has just announced a new U.S. leg of their worldwide anniversary tour, set to kick off October 21 in Buffalo. They’ll once again be joined by special guests letlive. and Creeper, with stops planned in cities like Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Charlotte, Nashville, Atlanta, New Orleans, Indianapolis, Detroit, St. Louis, and more.

Tickets, including VIP options, went on sale Friday, March 20 at 10 a.m. local time through the band’s website.

Alongside the tour announcement, the band revealed a brand new single titled “Like A Cardinal,” which will drop the same day tickets become available. Fans can already pre-save the track online.

Speaking about the song, the band shared that it was written and recorded at their own studio, A Nightmare on North Elm Street, with the goal of pushing themselves creatively and proving they still have plenty left in the tank. They collaborated with producers Will Deely, Anton DeLost, and Mike Kalajian to shape a heavier, fuller sound, while still keeping their signature melodic hooks. The band described their style as balancing emotional tension in the verses with energetic, catchy choruses—calling themselves “the sour patch kids of emo… a little sour, but mostly sweet.”

Hawthorne Heights is currently on the road for the first leg of the If Only You Were Lonely anniversary tour and plans to keep the momentum going through 2026 with shows in Japan, Australia, and across the UK and Europe. They’re also set to appear at major festivals including Sonic Temple Festival, Vans Warped Tour stops in Washington, D.C., Montreal, Mexico City, and Orlando, as well as Roxx Fest, Aftershock Festival, RockOn Festival, Noise and Needles Festival, and Slam Dunk Festival dates in Hatfield, Leeds, Oberhausen, and Milan.

This year’s tour continues to honor 20 years of If Only You Were Lonely, bringing that era back to life for fans old and new.
