Haste The Day are back! After making a shocking comeback last year with a string of reunion shows, as well as an appearance at Furnace Fest last month, the iconic early 2000's christian metalcore band have released their first piece of new music in nearly a decade. The band has just unveiled their single "Burn" along with an accompanying music video and have also announced their return to Solid State Records.

Listen to "Burn" here.
"Burn" is everything you want from an anthemic metalcore banger. The song kicks in with dual harmonized guitar leads before going into the fast metalcore beat you hear in the verse with rapid fire drumming, beefy guitar chugs and dynamic riffs. The song truly shines in the chorus which is both epic and anthemic. The layered cleans by Murphy and Chaulk will have the masses chanting the words back at them like it was a church choir. Let's not forget Keech whose vocals dominate the verse as he screams about the damaged justice system.
"We wrote 'Burn' to be a metalcore thrasher with harmonized guitar melodies, an epic chorus, a crushing breakdown riff, and lyrics about a broken system of justice focused on retaliation instead of restoration. Being the first song that we've released in nine years, we wanted to put our best foot forward musically but also address an important topic in today's divided world: The more we try to tear others down, the more we destroy ourselves." - singer Stephen Keech.
You will have your chance to hear Haste The Day play their anthemic comeback single live at their co-headline show with Oh, Sleeper at The Factory in Dallas, Texas on December 15. Purchase tickets HERE.
If you're worried this song is just a one-off, don't be anymore. "Burn" is just the first step and the band is currently working on a new album as we speak. The album is planned for a 2025 release so until then, keep jamming out to "Burn" and stay tuned for more updates!!!
