Do you feel that chill in the air? Spooky season is right around the corner. The spooks and ghouls are coming out of their coffins and ready to celebrate the halloween season. In order to ring in the season, Danny Elfman is ringing in the season with a special two night concert event at the Hollywood Bowl. He is performing, arguably his most famous work, The Nightmare Before Christmas, in concert. The two performances will be held on October 25th and October 26th.
The concert will have a star studded cast, with Danny Elfman performing the role of Jack and Janelle Monae playing Sally. When asked about the performance, Elfman stated, “I guess it’s safe to say this is becoming a Halloween tradition by now. That makes me so happy. I can’t wait to see all the Halloween freaks, monsters, gods and goddesses to celebrate together!”
These two shows are the 12th and 13th times that Elfman is hosting the concert at the Hollywood Bowl. If the tradition is working, why change it?
