Greywash! A band in New York who’s already released two singles in the past year, Secrets and Red Room, and already they’ve already begun to turn heads. I had the honor to talk to one of the members about upcoming projects and I have to say I’m pretty damn excited to see what’s in store with them. Austin starts by saying “I’m incredibly excited about what’s ahead for Greywash. I feel more confident than ever in this project and couldn’t be happier with the group of people I’m working with.” I think we can all understand that having that confidence in our friends and team makes the road of art even better.
In such a competitive scene especially in New York having that drive has to be bigger than ever. But Austin believes that Greywash is crafting a unique sound not heard in their area, “blending influences of pop and metalcore with innovative digital effects.” Alright man, kickass! After listening to both Secrets and Red Room I can confirm that Greywash has a different flow than most bands than we currently see in metalcore. The flow is smooth with hints of heavy control. If anything and maybe an odd thing to say, but they sound like some badass sounding anime introductions. You guys know what I’m talking about, those badass songs at the start of a show that we spent hours trying to find as a kid and watched amv videos of.
But back to the important bit like how Austin goes on to say that their first EP is set to drop in just a few months and their newest single actually releases on February 14th which if you run to that page you can still presave. I’m absolutely thrilled to see what this band has in store for us in this new year, we hope you are too!
