Minnesota-Native rapper Yung Gravy stopped at The Royal Grove in Lincoln, NE, last Thursday and made it a night that the crowd will not forget. Yung Gravy has had constant momentum since his first breakout hit in 2017, Mr. Clean. His musical presence, as well as his presence on social media, makes his fanbase grow rapidly every day.
The energy at the venue was quickly felt while the house DJ warmed up the crowd. There was a ton of excitement and anticipation for the main act of the night to go on. This was a sold out show so the floor was packed with Gravy fans even every single VIP section/table was full.
Yung Gravy went on, and the place erupted that showing how passionate his fans are. I was shocked about how tall he is. Dressed in a white button-up shirt with roses on it and black pants, he took time in between most songs to interact with fans with humor and charisma. He also told stories about the other times he had stopped in Nebraska, which was one of my favorite moments of the night. His setlist featured his most popular songs and songs from his latest album, “Baby Gravy 3” a collab album with bbno$, which showcases his signature mix of trap beats with retro and nostalgic samples. The crowd went the craziest during his smash hits, “Mr. Clean” and “oops!”.
Throughout the performance, Gravy kept interacting with his fans; I have never seen an artist do more than him. Those interactions really added a personal touch to the show, which made the fans feel included in the concert.
The Royal Grove’s size made the concert feel more intimate than most of Yung Gravy’s shows. It was a very up-close-and-personal performance that highlighted his stage presence and his ability to connect with and entertain the crowd.
Overall, Yung Gravy’s stop in Lincoln was a memorable night that left fans eagerly awaiting his next tour and his next releases.
