Nothing gets fans more excited than festival season. The anticipation of waiting to see if your favourite will make the line-up, planning your trip with friends, making sure you have the perfect outfit for each day, and of course, going to the actual festival itself. While we already have some of the major line-ups for 2026, including that of Coachella, we just got our first glimpse of who might be hitting the bills for our summer festivals.
In my opinion, no festival quite kicks off the summer festival season like the Governors Ball. The New York Festival has been a home to both major artists like Tyler, The Creator, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan, while putting some spotlight on some hidden gems like Geese, Frost Children, and Fcukers long before they were selling out shows. Oh, and these are only some of the artists from the last two years.
Around three weeks ago, Gov Ball finally started teasing this year's line-up, and on January 5th, we got a full look at who will be hitting the festival's three stages this June.

To kick off opening day at Gov Ball, our two big headliners for Friday are Lorde and Baby Keem. However, the excitement doesn’t stop there, with the following two rows being completely littered with big-name artists like Katseye, Pierce The Veil, 2Hollis, Flipturn, Audrey Hobert, and Turnover. If you’re looking for a recommendation on a non-major artist to see this day, I would suggest checking out The Backfires, a native New York City Rock Band.
Moving into Saturday, we have one of the biggest draws to the festival this year, which is an appearance from Stray Kids. The other top-billed headliner is Kali Uchis. Again, it doesn’t stop there, with Major Lazer, Amyl and the Sniffers, Ravyn Lenae, Blood Orange, and Del Water Gap all making the first couple of rows. Even as you push further down, you have some artists who have been shaking up their own independent scene,s such as Jane Remover, Wisp, Flowerolove, and Villanelle. I can already sense that individual tickets for this day will be hard to come by, so if any of these artists pique your interest, I’d act quickly!
On the festival's closing night, you can catch A$AP Rocky and Jennie at the top of the lineup. Leading up to those performances, you can catch Dominic Fike, Geese, Japanese Breakfast, Hot Mulligan, Fcukers, and Rachel Chinouriri earlier on in the day. Personally, this is my favourite individual day lineup, as it features some of my absolute favourite ‘small’ artists, Between Friends, Slayyyter, and Hemlocke Springs. Regardless of what stage you wind up at this day, you’ll be bound to see some amazing performances and hear some super passionate musicians.
The Governors Ball will take place on June 5th through 7th at Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Presale for all three days will begin on Thursday Janurary 8th at 10 AM Eastern Time. Pricers for three-day General Admission tickets will begin at $319, while one-day General Admission Tickets will start at $139. For the lowest prices possible, I would recommend signing up for the presale HERE before prices start to increase and tiers start selling out.
