Today, February 6th, Glaive announced he would host a Hometown charity show in Asheville, North Carolina. Glaive himself teased the show yesterday on Twitter (formerly X) and then followed up with a secondary tweet a few minutes later saying “Announce Tmmrw”. The now-revealed one-time experience is called ‘they named the city after me,’ jokingly claiming the city (Ashville) was named after the singer's given name, Ash. The show will take place on Thursday, April 17th, at The Orange Peel.

Alongside Glaive, the bill includes DazeGXD, Jane Remover, and Ericdoa. All three of the artists create music within the same sphere as Glaive but under different subgenres. Despite this, their fanbases tend to overlap, especially with Ericdoa as he and Glaive have been collaborative partners for years, most recently on Eric’s track ‘Count It Up’ released last November.
Fans might recognize Jane Remover from her own formative contributions to the genre or may have gotten the opportunity to meet her after at Glaives January 25th show in Chicago, where Jane is based. Though if this show is your first exposure to Jane, and you don’t want ages to see her hit the stage again, you can catch Jane on her headlining tour ‘Turn Up Or Die’ starting April 23rd in Minneapolis, with opener DazeGXD on every date.
As mentioned, this is a charity show, with all proceeds going towards ArtsAVL. They are an art council based out of Asheville with three main duties: advocacy, accessibility and philanthropy. They strive to keep art in the hearts of their communities and do so by supporting arts professions and businesses through Connection, Advocacy, and Grants. You can learn more about their history here, and their 2023 highlights here.
