Alabama-based metalcore band Gideon has been quiet on the new music front. They released More Power, More Pain on March 17, 2023, and aside from singer Daniel McWhorter being featured on Lakeview’s “Money Where Your Mouth Is”, all was silent. On June 13, Gideon released their latest single, “‘Til The Wheels Fall Off” and with it, announced they are now a part of the Sumerian Records family.

When asked about their new single and the new record label, the band commented, "We’ve always done things our way, and Sumerian Records believed in the vision. This song is a tribute to the miles behind us and the road ahead. We’re not here for a pit stop—we’re here to break the speedometer. With Sumerian in the passenger seat, we’re going ‘Til the Wheels Fall Off.’"

This song is quintessential Gideon. Fans have no need to worry about whether or not a new record label will change their style; it hasn’t and Gideon fans are going to love this one.

Although the band has been quiet on the music front, they have been touring consistently throughout the past two years, and they show no signs of stopping anytime soon. They are embarking on three tours in the next several months, supporting Miss May I from June 17 until June 28, supporting UnityTX from July 20 until August 3, and supporting Kublai Khan from September 21 until October 26. Gideon will also be performing at Louder Than Life on September 18 and at the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival on September 20.
