Get Scared Has Finally Made Their Return Since Hiatus In 2019


Post hardcore band Get Scared has finally made their comeback after a long waited hiatus. Before their hiatus, the band has released their latest album 'The Dead Days' which was released in Spring 2019 via Fearless Records. If you grew up in the early to mid 2000's, Get Scared was an extremely popular band to have kicked off in the music scene and has toured alongside bands such as New Years Day, Ice Nine Kills, Escape The Fate and many more.


Get Scared is a post-hardcore, metalcore band from Layton, Utah and was formed in early 2008. The band consists of vocalist Nicholas Matthews, Johnny Braddock on guitars, Bradley Iverson on bass, Adam Virostko on guitars and lastly Dan Juarez on drums. The band is known for their heavy, hard-crushing breakdowns, emotional verses and their spooky aesthetic. Since their formation, the band has made many successful songs, including "Sarcasm" which features Craig Mabbit from Escape The Fate, "Don't You Dare Forget The Sun", "Whore", "Buried Alive" and many more.




Today on March 7th, 2025, the band has shared their latest promo photo alongside the audio with Backstreet Boys "Everybody", announcing to fans about their return. An elder emo like myself is very excited and proud of these guys and how far they have come. On March 5th, 2025, the band has surprised fans with an Instagram post stating how they will be performing at this years Aftershock Festival, which will take place on October 2nd through October 5th. The festival will be taking place at Discovery Park in Sacramento, California. The band will be performing on Friday, October 3rd alongside Of Mice and Men, Northlane, Thornhill. Deftones will be closing the night off that day so make sure to grab your tickets before they go!
