This September, one of the biggest pop punk music festivals in the country returns for two days in EQT Park in Pittsburgh/Washington, PA. There are loads of household names that will be ripping their respective stages coming from a range of different eras throughout the history of the alternative music scene. The event will be headlined by pop punk legends Blink-182 on Saturday September 13, and co-headlined by AFI and Jawbreaker on Sunday September 14. There’s also loads more bands that are synonymous with the 2000s era like Bowling For Soup, Say Anything, and Set Your Goals while bands from the following decade like State Champs, Knuckle Puck, and Hot Mulligan also hold pivotal slots. On top of that, there’s also great solo artists that have emerged through social media platforms like Tik Tok like Deathbyromy as well as rising bands with a hardcore influence like Drug Church and Koyo making for good wild card picks that many attendees may already know. Needless to say, the genre diversity is truly present and welcomed.
This festival is nothing short of a guarantee to be loads of fun for all pop punk kids and punk rockers of all ages and eras to go crazy with their favorite bands, as well as discover new ones from eras they weren’t around for. Included sponsors for this festival are Smartpunk, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Surfside, Rhinegeist, Feed The Scene, Beatbox, and Weedies. With this genre of music developing a massive resurgence in popularity over the last few years, the festival has seemed to grow exponentially every single year since its inception back in 2014.
