On Monday, December 1, 2025- Brian Burkheiser released his debut single for his solo project, SCATTERBRAIN- a cover of Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do". This cover reflects on Burkheiser's career from how he first started in the music industry as a front man. You can view the music video to "Look What You Made Me Do" below.
"To my fans: This year forced me to pivot in ways I never expected, and it tested me more than I can explain. But through it all, your support has meant everything. I'm excited to finally share a song with you. I chose this cover because it truly resonates with me and serves as a nod to what first sparked my career. I'm still working toward the day I can release my original music, but for now, I'm grateful to have found a way to put a piece of art into the world."
-Brian Burkheiser (SCATTERBRAIN)
Since leaving his former band I Prevail, Burkheiser has been teasing new music and shared updates with fans about the music he was writing. Earlier this year, he has also announced his new project SCATTERBRAIN. However, conflicts behind the scenes have prevented Burkheiser from sharing his original material. If you have been a fan of Burkheiser and seen the music video, there are themes that you may have seen from his previous band. It's honestly so lovely having Burkheiser back in the studio and giving fans new music to head bang to. Watching the growth he has had throughout the years is honestly so inspiring and I cannot wait to see what he has to give.
