Multi-platinum Canadian rock band Finger Eleven returns in full force with the release of Last Night On Earth, their first studio album in ten years and debut with Better Noise Music. The record, available everywhere, marks a bold new era for one of Canada’s best-selling rock exports.
Alongside the album, the band has unveiled their fourth single, “The Mountain”, a towering track that captures both the scope and spirit of their renewed creative energy.
“For us, Last Night On Earth felt like making a big rock record again,” says guitarist Rick Jackett. “It’s something we did early in our career, then moved away from. This time, we wanted to embrace that sense of scale— even the quiet moments sound massive.”
Frontman Scott Anderson describes “The Mountain” as a metaphorical journey through the creative process. “At its core, it’s about searching for the music—about the endless climb to find that one last great idea,” he explains. Guitarist James Black adds that the song feels “like a seven-minute epic condensed into four.”
The band also cites Phil Collins and Genesis as melodic influences throughout the record, fusing their signature heaviness with expansive, cinematic textures.

Finger Eleven will kick off a national Canadian headlining tour with fellow rock heavyweights Headstones and The Tea Party, beginning November 25 in Penticton, BC. A U.S. tour is slated for 2026, with dates to be announced soon.

Their breakout single “One Thing” from their self-titled debut achieved Gold status in the U.S. and Platinum in Canada. 2007’s Them vs. You vs. Me spawned the smash hit “Paralyzer”, a 5x Platinum international success that dominated radio and earned the band a Juno Award for Rock Album of the Year. Subsequent albums Life Turns Electric and Five Crooked Lines continued their reign at rock radio, while 2023’s Greatest Hits compilation featured “Together Right”, which topped the Canadian charts for five consecutive weeks.
