On March 12th, 2025- Deathcore band Face Yourself brings brutality to fans by unveiling their brand new single titled "Predatory" off their upcoming EP titled 'Martyr' via Sumerian Records.
"Predatory" in my opinion has to be one of the best singles that band has put out in their discography alongside "Sideration" and the one minute breakdown song titled "Grosse Bagarre". The latest single delves into the themes of betrayal and exploring those haunted memories that someone has once inflicted on you. When you reach your lowest point in life, those inner demons are haunting and torturing your mental state of mind. In order to overcome this, you must face that demon trying to take control of your life and how it may impact others; ultimately escaping that dark past you once have faced in your life.
I just want to give the band credit for the heavy crushing instrumentals with the blast beat drums, INSANE backing tracks adding such a fast pace to the song. Yasmine's vocals as I've already mentioned continue to amaze me. The alteration of Yasmine and guitarist Corey Doremus vocals. It adds so much brutality with their voices combined. Drummer Eric DiCarlo I want to give him credit for the talent that man has to offer in the band. I could not handle doing double kicks like he does.
"Face Yourself is proud to release our newest single "Predatory", alongside the announcement of our new EP "Martyr" via Sumerian Records. "Predatory" is based on a modern story with some metaphoric images. It's about going to a dance with a stranger and quickly finding yourself in a dangerous situation. 'Martyr' explores struggles through difficult mental health battles. The lyrical content on the EP is based on vulnerability, and confronting your own demons. The record flirts between standing up for yourself, but also getting back to this dark place, as no one has a perfect linear mental health. Sometimes it takes a few trials to heal old wounds.

To announce Face Yourself's signing to Sumerian Records, recently the band has put their first single off the upcoming EP titled "Sideration" where vocalist Yasmine shows no mercy and brings absolute chaos to upcoming fans. Not going to lie, I felt absolutely terrified with what that woman can do with her voice. Especially the part of the song where it sounded like a literal demon was possessing her when she was doing the goblin voice. Shout out to Sumerian for signing such an insane, talented band.
