"Say" is a track from Evergrey's upcoming album, Theories of Emptiness, which is set to be released on June 7, 2024, via Napalm Records.

The album Theories of Emptiness was produced by Tom S. Englund and Jonas Ekdahl. It was mixed by Adam "Nolly" Getgood, who previously worked with Periphery before leaving the band. Adam worked closely with the band to bring out the vividness of the album's overall sonic profile. The mastering of the album was done by Thomas "Plec" Johansson, who has previously worked with several artists including Soilwork, The Night Flight Orchestra, Onslaught, The Gems, Eleine, and many more.

Tom S. Englund, the lead vocalist of EVERGREY, believes that progression is very important for the band. He explains that with every album, they aim to introduce something new to their music, such as a different key or chord, fresh voices in their writing, or innovative production techniques. This is evident in their latest album, Theories of Emptiness, which features eleven tracks that balance each other mutually. The album starts with "Falling From the Sun" and "Say," which interweaves heaviness with mesmerizing keyboards and unpredictable instrumental parts. The aggressive tones of "Misfortune" contrast the light-hearted opening of "To Become Someone Else," while the ballad "Ghost of My Hero" leads into the furious riffs of "We Are the North." On "Cold Dreams," Englund's distinctive voice is accompanied by Jonas Renkse of fellow Swedish metal icon Katatonia, splicing the song with a stellar performance that underlines another intense facet of the album. Englund's daughter Salina also provides lush backing vocals on some of the tracks.
The album ends on a quiet note with "Our Way Through Silence" and "A Theory of Emptiness," which depicts what emptiness is about with timid piano and makes us rationalize our innermost feelings. The album takes listeners on a carefully balanced roller coaster ride, showcasing EVERGREY's ever-evolving sound in 2024 and beyond. Tom Englund is very excited about the release of the album.
