Brisbane based hardcore band latest EP, Hide From the Light will be releasing on May 30. In anticipation of the upcoming release, they have released the title track of the EP and a music video, which you can watch here!
The entire music video is in black and white. It switches between showing the band performing and showing a woman’s body as it contorts and twists. If you are not a fan of body horror and blood, this is not the music video for you!
However, do not let that dissuade you from listening to the song. Coming in just under three minutes at 2:57, this is the definition of hardcore. This song makes you want to jump into the pit and just start swinging (respectfully). If this is the title track of the upcoming EP, this is really setting the tone for the other three songs that still have yet to be released with the rest of the EP.
Diesect have been tearing up the Australian metal and hardcore scene since 2021, when they released their first EP Mirror Image. Their second EP, Shadows Follow, came out in 2023. Now, two years later, Diesect are back to take over again with their EP Hide From the Light.
