Dark Chapel Reveal Third Single "Corpse Flower"

DARK CHAPEL, the band led by guitarist, singer, and producer Dario Lorina, the longtime member of Black Label Society, has just dropped their third single, "Corpse Flower." This release builds up excitement for their debut album, which is now available on all digital outlets. A video for the song can be seen HERE.

Their highly anticipated album, Spirit in The Glass, showcases the band’s tight guitar work, sludgy grooves, bluesy licks, and grunge-inspired melodies. The record officially released on Friday, February 28, via MNRK Heavy.

"Corpse Flower" kicks off with wild riffs and a heavy groove, setting the stage for Lorina’s powerful vocals. Talking about the song’s lyrics, Lorina explains that he imagined a haunting landscape of mostly dead flowers, with one standing tall as a symbol of immortality—almost like a portal to the underworld. According to the band, Lorina poured everything into Spirit in The Glass, blending his love for heavy, guitar-driven rock with more intimate piano and acoustic, singer-songwriter-style tracks.

To mark the album’s release, DARK CHAPEL performed a special show in Las Vegas, NV, on March 1 at Count’s Vamp’d Rock Bar & Grill. Comedian Don Jamieson (former host of VH1 Classic’s That Metal Show) accompanied the band as a special guest.

The band has already built momentum with two previous singles. Their first track, "Glass Heart," dropped last September, and its music video has racked up over 92,000 views on YouTube. The second single, "Hollow Smile," arrived on January 17 with a video directed by Justin H. Reich (known for working with Black Label Society, Ace Frehley, and Rex Brown). That video has already surpassed 100,000 views on the band’s official YouTube channel.

Early reviews have praised the album. FIREWORKS Magazine (UK) called it “a pulsating debut that perfectly balances smoldering riffs and groove-laden melodies.” Meanwhile, IM-MusicMagazine.com described DARK CHAPEL’s music as an explosive entrance into the rock scene, full of powerful riffs, raw vocals, and a perfect mix of aggression and soul.

Spirit in The Glass captures a dynamic balance between dark and heavy tones while also feeling ethereal and emotional. As Lorina puts it, “This is a culmination of all artistic influence, whether musical or otherwise.”
